30 inch pike 2 lb test

I hooked into this thing two days ago and entered it into the NYS Winter Classic. Not a lunker in terms of what a pike can be and may not win but what I caught it on that makes the story. 21 inch HT super light rod, 2 lb test Berkley Trilene ice line and the Clam Epoxy jig with NO LEADER. This is a two part video as a friend took it with his phone.....once I figure out how to save it from youtube I will edit it into one .

That is awesome. Good job on that catch. Takes some skill and patience to do that. And what makes it even better is the little kid who is just so excited!!!!!!! Great stuff right there. Congrats!!!

Haha yeah thats my 5 year old daughter Alivia, She loves the outdoors. Camping and fishing mostly. Half the time she doesnt even fish she just likes to go. Couldnt be more proud.

that's sick. I caught a lot of big pickerel last winter on 3lb test but nothing that big. nice job

That's awesome!  Congrats!  I had same experience while fishing a reservoir in southwest colorado.  I was fishing an ultralight with 2# catching perch when I hooked and landed a 37" 13# pike. What a surprise to get that thing and not cut me off.  I had it hooked in the very top tooth patch so the line stayed out of them cutters.
