Title: I love this time of the year! New Lenox area.....

It won't be long now hard water fisherman. I'm ready for for the bite as are most of you. I'm recently retired after 37 years and look forward to some very solid ice fishing this season. Hope to see you on the ice. Be safe!

Congrats on your retirement.  I'm only 22-24 years away from that!  Can't wait.  Hoping to be out on hard water by 12/31 if not a day or two before.

forecast is looking more encouraging. would like to see consistent lows in the single digits, but as noted we're headed in the right direction!

Wednesday night 17, Thursday night 15, Friday night 16. That's some cold temps. If it holds I'll be fishing soon.

next week has some sub zero lows. and i had to go and plan a damn holiday gathering next saturday.  ???
