Things have been busy up here! I haven't been out as much as other years, and have been exploring a lot of new water. But we have still been getting on some real good fish too. Ice was slow up here this year, and we are well behind on the ice making still. I got to do some fishing work with travel manitoba, and got my 4 year old and wife out on the ice for day. My girl picked the spot, so I drilled the hole, dropped the herring, and major big fish was one while setting it up. Unfortunately it blew up her button push reel and snapped the 20lb mono..., on a giant run after having the fish below the hole. Still get butterfly's on how big that fish was.....
