BIG 4 - O[/size] for me,  Probably wont make 41 if I have to keep pushing Ac everytime he gets stuck,  only to watch him drive right back in even farther.   Either that or I'll be looking like AAAAAHNOLD :flex: :flex:

Unless oldbeatuplund, throwbackjack or Mr. Rig, or some other person of our vintage posts, looks like I'm leading the pack.  (But I'm going to protest that if mental age counts, I'm only 35).  On the other hand, it's not a race is it?, you'll all get to my age someday, but by then I'll be decades older......hee, hee, hee, cackle, cackle, cough!

Well, just out of curiosity, and because I had a few minutes to spare, I decided to tally up the ages of our site members, and found that it generally agrees with the tallies others have reached for sites like Myfishfinder, and, I think, Ice Shanty.  In other words, we have here in Manitoba, a good representation of anglers in general.  Or, possibly, you anglers are the ages that can not only afford to go fishing, but are computer literate as well.  Anyway, here goes:

Of 30 members responding, the average age is 36.6
Here's how it plots out:

Age:             Number:
10 - 19             1     X
20 - 29             7     XXXXXXX
30 - 39             9     XXXXXXXXX
40 - 49             9     XXXXXXXXX
50 - 59             3     XXX
60+                  1     X

Youngest is 14 at this posting time, one's age is indeterminate, so I underestimated(?) him, and it looks like I'm the designated O.F. of the site. ;D

Ah, BW, you are only as old as you feel...you can feel as old or young as you want, but I feel like I should be retired...I'd get more fishing in then too  ;D

Monophil - way to go on the stats...I'm trying to figure out if you are like me and love numbers or if you have too much time on your hands...maybe it has something to do wtih spending time in Rosthern.  ;)

Hi Thriller - Well, RJC gave me a good start, but in my former occupation I spent the winters doing statistics on the data collected in summer, so I'm fairly well versed in common stats.  Although I've never regretted retiring, I miss the number crunching sometimes, I loved finding correlations and plotting graphs.

As of today , I'm 41. act like I'm 2 and feel like 90 . My teenage daughter thinks she is wiser than me ( probably is since I'm the one hauling the 40lb Jiffy up and down river banks ) Sauger and pickeral don't ask for proof of age.

Good news for any of you that are feeling a little older... time fishing is not deducted from your alloted span! :D
That's what my Grandpa tells me anyway!
