Post by: ksgoosekillr on Jan 16, 2024, 11:28 AM
Hit Wilson Sunday with 5-6" of solid ice, horseshoe bend area
Hit Kanop yesterday with a solid 5-6" of good ice at Loders of all places did not see anyone at Tower harbor
Glen has 4-5" on west end
Lovewell, Kirwin and Norton all had guys out no idea on thickness.
Marion has blow ice on damn that is supposedly really thick
Plan to hit Milford this weekend as i heard the coves have decent ice.

I left off fish reports on this as several places are already getting packed with people, this weekend will be a mad house I am sure.

Thank you for the ice reports.  I thought after yesterday, ice would be at least 8 inches by now.  Lets hope that it will stick around for few weeks.

I checked a couple spots today. Good ice just about everywhere I went. Here’s Marion from the dam looked completely covered. But it’s a lot of chunked up ice. Looks like it clears up going north. Cheney had 6”+ of good clear ice

I've heard reports of El Dorado at around 6 inches as well and plan to hit it Saturday for sure.  Sunday will be a toss up depending on how Saturday goes over there.

I'm guessing there will be crowds as well anywhere you go this weekend.

Had 10 -12 inches of good black ice at the little lake in Horton. My son and I caught a bunch of bluegills this weekend.
