Went out and bought a spud bar today................. .thinking I'll hopefully be able to go somewhere rounds here tomorrow since it is supposed to be a low of -2 here in town.  That should put the temperature in definite negatives up in Mantua or possibly even Causey!

I'm pumped, if nothing else I will take a drive with high hopes, take some pictures and update some statuses on the fishing reports.  Gotta break in the spud bar sometime!

I know how you feel  last weeks trip just made it worse and now all I can think about is leaving next Friday. Man is it going to be a long week

X1000000000000, I got the rods tied up, loaded in the rod box. Riggers and hookset tip-up rigged and loaded in the bag. Sleds down and ready. Augers gassed up. I'm ready and anxious

Maybe I can drive up on a day trip and study while on the ice..........lol!  I would probably end up putting the poles down, downing to much pie, and waking up in the tent hours later when it's time to go home.  Good luck fellas, I'm still jealous.

Thanks hof, it was nice meeting you up there at the closing ceremony and congrats on the 1st place. I hope that spot is still hot for you guys. My buddies that were in a boat up that way have just started fishing there as the ice has just barely got safe enough. The report I got last weekend is there was 2in good clear ice at the confluence out lost dog last Friday which im sure is a bit thicker now. Its looking like we're heading out confluence point road and dropping down into the blacks arm

I got permission to go this weekend too!  I thought we had plans but i guess they are only for Sat Night.  Looks like this guy will be headed to the gorge on Friday!.  I have never been over to the black arm....  LMK maybe we could meet up out there!  looking forward to another good night of pounding burbs!
