Just took a ride. Lake is still wide open north from Diamond Point. Bolton had ice but who knows for how long, pretty good south wind blowing now. There was still open water in parts of Northwest Bay also.

Bird, you are braver than me.. I have been through before and I really didn't care for it.  Those ice eaters at the docks keep that bay pretty churned up.  Pilot Knob side is iced. Hopefully the wind doesn't open too much of it... According to the weather channel it is supposed to get real cold again so hopefully by next week end everything will be good.

guys were fishing basin bay not sure how much ice didnt bother checking also 2" at saw mill bay guys fished it this am,2" in LG village lake is wide open from the north end of long island to pilots knob, pilots knob has 1" and is wide open just north of the knob, huddle bay ice as 2" but ice is soft couldn't get out 10' from shore, harris bay had good 6" till the buoys just past the islands then it changed to about 3" then a bit further out 2" of ice, needs couple ore days imo not worth getting hurt or killed for its still early yet stay safe everyone.

I posted this on the conditions board, but figured more people might see it here.
OK Here we go.
Lake George South Basin from MDB North to Canoe island, Including Dunham's,Harris, katskill, and Warner bays is locked up. East side of of Long Island approx 2/3 of the way up the island is frozen over to about Elisabeth island.
From Canoe island north to about Basin bay is open or sketchy.
Basin Bay is locked up and had 6 guys fishing on it as of about 1pm today.
Huddle and Bolton Bays out to Dome island are frozen, but not being fished. Sawmill Bay north to about Bell Point is frozen out to the point of Tongue, then South to Dome. Large open area north and east of Dome and directly east of Dome towards Phelps Island is either open or Sketchy. Pilot Knob is frozen but looks sketchy way out.
Northwest Bay is open in the middle, frozen on either end.
Narrows appear to be locked up but don't know for sure. Narrows North to silver bay(Hulletts Landing) is frozen. Rest of Lake from silver bay to Rogers Rock campground is WIDE open.
I do not know any ice depth. Just reporting what I saw.

This for sure.  After Sunday we have three days of low single digits at night and teens during the day.  Hopefully that is enough to add a few more inches to the ice.

Went out in vets this afternoon didn't fish it cause it was making some fat guy on thin ice noises, about 3" there. Then went to basin bay fished a couple hours nothing spectacular about 3" there to.

Anything that is locked up should stay locked up since temps will plummet today ……  in the reports and conditions thread someone said the main lake is locked up??
