Title: Pott lake #2 Manhattan
Post by: scooter1112 on Jan 14, 2017, 07:38 PM
Checked it out this afternoon and found 4 inches of good solid ice. i haven't fished it much before and only caught 1 dink crappie. i was only out for about 30 mins because i forgot my cleats at the house. going to try again in the morning hopefully i can find some structure and some decent sized fish.

Is there anywhere i can get a map of Pott 2? its not on navionics and that would make it a little easier to figure this lake out. if anyone in the manhattan area would like to fish with me anytime let me know. I'm originally from northern Iowa and have plenty of gear to supply 2 or more guys to get out on the ice!

You're gonna have to put a boat on it and figure it out.

That's kind of what I figured. Guess I'm going to have to buy a boat!

Talk to a buddy that's been on it a couple times that lives up that way he said there's not much there a couple of points but not really any other structure

You might want to try Geary County State Lake also I know there's crappie in that not sure about structure
