Getting Closer!

So far this month,in the dark AM, I had to turn the heat on in my car twice!Hard water can't be far behind!Better make sure the auger runs,also need to finish the tip ups I'm building.
Got a new stainless steel minnow bucket too.Hopefully I'll have time to build a bigger sled to drag my gear with.So many things to do so little time to do it.

yup just got me a nice 8" hand auger so when i need a break from the flasher....love spendin cliff's bucks early............. :tipup:

Going to paint my shack this year "stars and stripes". September is the right time of year to do it, before the fall rain and bird hunting. I'll probadly be staying close to home this year with the price of gas being so high.

"Close to home"is what I'm hearing alot from guys in the hunting and fishing fraternity.
Last year I went out of state a few times for bird hunting but I think this year I will be staying local.
Same goes for fishing,I plan to use Arrowhead,Shaker pond,and Estes lake for the most part.
Unless I find a winning power ball ticket I'll be driving less.
