St Croix Rods
« on: Nov 30, 2009, 10:08 PM »
I've been looking for some new rods (or to suggest as Xmas presents)
Are the St croix premier's the same rod as the Legend, without the bobber and handle? The website says they are both carbon blanks and I think they looked the same at Fleet farm. I've never really used spring bobbers so I don't need one (don't know what I'm missing)

All the Premiere's feel as if they're all rolled from the the same master blanks, but cut at different sections.
For more information read my MN nice journal

I have both rods and they feel very different. I did not like the premiere blanks at all, they have not seen ice in a few seasons. I broke a few as well, to repair under warranty they wanted me to send a cheque for $10 for return shipping. With the cost to ship it to them, I could walk out to the store and buy a new St.Croix rod
