We were  guessing that there's probably 100's of weed beds out there that never get fished...loved that pic of the crappies by the way :P I've never found a school of those tasty little buggers out there >:(

Downrigged out there this past Tuesday. All in all I think the count was 9 lakers, and 11 smallmouth all 90' down in 105 fow. Lakers were all undersized, but I think the little ones were outrunning the big ones for the bait. We marked some big boys, just couldnt buy a hit from one. It was nice day to be out.

Unless we go in to a deep freeze it won't be until around Martin Luther King day, that's how it's been for the last few years or @ least some of the bigger bays. ???

Ahh yes, the King -  lake george, aka Queen of America's Lakes.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lake_George_%28New_York%29

Lets get that water temp down to the upper 30's, then get some below zero nights....we could be on the bays by Jan 10 if everything goes perfect...

I'm HOPING bays by the 10th....but for me, its really all about the trout, and its probably going to be the first week of February till we are on any of the main parts of the lake.

Thank you, btw @)

yeah, we put 'er in mothballs last week when it became apparent that we weren't going to have a late fall, the low water temps kinda put the kibosh on the sweet panfish and bass bite we were rocking.   Been doing a ton of fly fishing for steelhead too.  Now we just need some REALLY cold weather!

Hey Guys...I'm from the Binghamton area and would really love to hit your KING.  I am going to make a trip up this winter (God willing).  I'm excited to hit the lake for walleye, perch, and slabs.  I also would like to try getting some lakers.  I'm NOT looking for your hot spots, I'll do my home work on that...Unless you have some "tips" on where to go.  But I am looking for any info on where to stay, places good to park, get on the ice...general stuff that will help make the trip smoother and more enjoyable.  I would do the same for you if you'd like to come down to this neck of the woods....we could hook you up and take you out to the "res." in Whitney Point....or whatever.  Thanks guys...good luck.  Slam
Take the pledge, be safe, enjoy every second of life and lets go JETS!
