country bait and taxidermy shop open in valpo still?

The "Open" sign was on yesterday, 1/17.

I called Wednesday and someone answered. Said he wasn't sure if they would be open Thurs and should call ahead. Called twice today around 11-ish and no one picked up. Hopefully they are open on the weekend.

I took a long drive to Chief's Bait in Michigan City.  Was a haul for me, but great selection of bugs and minners.  Top notch.

I drive past it all the time. Open sign is not on very often. Slez’s Bait Shop in lake station is always open and has everything.

seem to be very spotty when i go by shop....not reliable but nice guys when i do find it open

I called a few times and no answer. Found some bait at the Family Express on 130 near the haven. I had my outing all planned out until i realized i had no bait, then i began to panic lol. Thanks for the replies all!
