Finally got out with dad today.
Fished Lake George for lakers from 8 am to 5 pm...long day out on the ice lot of moving around, but we got a few fish.
Fished at Hearthstone from 8-9 without marking any fish, so we drove up to Vets Park, and fished our way out past Green, portaged over Crown due to the unsafe ice off the south side, and finally got into some lakers in the shallow water off of Crown.
Ended up with 5 trout, all between 22 and 24 inches, all on tipups. Got a few to follow my new and improved laker jigging moves, but couldnt get any to bite. They seemed a little finicky today
4-5 inches of ice all the way out, it got a little hairy on the way back in due to the warm temps, I don't know how long the ice will last.
Turns out the dog is in love with the laker that we kept...
