Title: Raquettedacker's pictures...2010/2011
Post by: Raquettedacker on Dec 20, 2010, 07:27 AM: First time out this season... Sunday 12/19/10... Very cold, no wind so it was bearable with out the shanty...
Set up a few tip ups to start and only had one flag with a nice perch on it..

It started getting dark so we pulled the tip ups and started hole hopping with the flashers..

Caught a lot of small ones but were able to get a few keepers for the freezer...

We got there around 2pm and all the trees were frosty so we got the old Clam set up...

We went out and set up some tip ups wich was a wast... Got two pickerels on them...

So before it got dark we pulled the tip ups and fired up the lantern and got in the shanty and proceded to catch these... ;D ;D

Than just like clock work the flashers started getting all these red marks on them 5 feet down in 8 feet of water... ;D ;D ;D

We wound up with 32 keeper crappies and a few nice perch and sun fish mixed in....

It was 7* with a very strong wind when we packed up at 8pm... Very cold... But fun.. ;D ;D

We wound up with around 26 crappies, gills/pumpkin seeds and one nice perch...

At one point I get a big red mark just 3 feet under the ice so i reel up and BAM.. ;D

If your talking about the little one with the purple skis, I made that sled about 25 years ago.. ;D ;D ;D

The big one is my old Clam with my waterski modification to make it go through deep snow.. ;D ;D

yup you shoulda then i would not have been out there alone you didnt miss much i got 12 keepers mostly on minnows on a tip down they really did not want the jig except a few gills i went between the island off the launch and the point on the far right side ;)

im thinking after the last 2 days it should be ok it was a pain going over the bank snow was soft ice is fine probly 10 of clear black and 6 of white on top which is probly gone now
