Title: Fishing Spots In/Around Calgary
Post by: calgarysales on Jan 10, 2004, 12:08 AM
I am a student that has lived in Calgary for 4 yrs now and I am a regular Fly/Spin fisher. I have now inherited my grandfathers ice fishing equipment and would like to make a go at it. I am unsure of how to read ice to tell if it is safe, or how to ice fish. Any suggestions of where to go, general saftey ideas/considerations and ways to catch some fish would be great! Thank you for your time and help!

Cheers

Brad B.

Welcome Calgarysales,

You will want to search around this site about ice safety, there is lots of information for you on that here. What sort of fish do you want to target? How far do you want to drive from Calgary?
