Hey Nick!

I fish alot of different lakes.  I fish some of the lakes off of 40,  fireside etc.  I fish upper long quite a bit and lac courte oreilles.  Closer to home I fish wissota a couple of times a year along with glen loch once or twice at early ice.  Depending on the year, I may fish marshmiller a time or two.  I also have a list of lakes to try.
Nick, where do you like to fish?

Marty

Burnette Island for early ice. I hit a few of those lakes in the New Auburn area. Once it gets cold enough I'll stick a permy out on Altoona.

Brunett Island is good for early ice I'll be up there next weekend if those warm temps do show up on Thursday and Friday if not then for sure the next weekend.

I have never fished altoona or brunett island, although brunett is on my to fish list along with a bunch of other lakes.  I used to fish alma, fountain city, and trempleau alot before moving up to C F.

Checking back in.  Russ Korpela from Ellsworth, WI  but work in New Richmond.  Relatively new to the sport.  Always looking for experienced hardwater fishermen to go out with.  Especially in early ice conditions.

Chris from Waterford. Some friends got me back into ice fishing a couple years ago and I'm getting my kids into also. I'm slowly trying to buy all the right equipment but I've got the basics and I'm having fun. Can't wait to try out my new auger this year.

Don't let the location fool you on my profile,  born and raised in Chippewa Falls, WI and I do almost all of my ice fishing in WI.   I'm sure I will be on the WI thread most of the winter.  Been on another forum for the last 4 years but spent enough time trolling on this site since the Smitty Sled brought me here last year, so I joined here.  Some one in teh Chippewa area let me know when we have some walking ice.  My main fishing buddy only goes out when he can drive on the ice.

Hey everybody...  took a short ride here in Rice Lake over lunch and there looks to be 1-2" on most of the lakes...  lots of wet spots further out.

I'm from Rice Lake.

I made it on the ice Sunday for a little recon...  The ice is 2-3 inches, but after the 6" of white stuff, it's awful slushy and it's really creaky.  All the weight from the snow and slush has made the ice too spooky for this cat...  Hopefully with the lows in the single digits all week, we'll freeze up the slush and get back to making ice.  I was really hoping to get out this coming weekend, but we'll have to see what happens with the slush...
