I now have 2 Titanium augers.
I have not used them because my dad died and I have been tied up with family issues instead of fishing lake trout as planned.
I hope to use them in a couple of weeks.
FIRST IMPRESSIONS:
1. Very light
2. Triple bladed head is cool
3. Will cut 6 feet of ice
4. easy to deploy
5. unique and strong hinge
6. Drill attachment
Packed in case:

Very cool, Whats the total length of them? How much do they weigh? Are they homemade or where did you find, get them from?
-
This one (the 6 foot of ice long shaft extension) weighs around 5 pounds. If you sent with the drill option and left the handle it would come in around 3 pounds.
Not handmade, got it in Russia. There is a model without the extension that would do 3 foot of ice and weigh a couple pounds less.

I am thinking I could sell them to the new wave of investment bankers heading up from New York City to ice fish.
I would make them a "Special Price" of $1,500 each and $100 for 3 spare blades. ;D

where the heck did you find those??
-
After reading and reading and reading various posts on auger wars, I developed a bad case of auger-envy and set off on a quest...
-
Thanks for the pictures. I see it is a Toner. Must be a new one they put out. Keep us informed on as well it works.
-
Only problem with that on a drill, you have to run the drill in reverse. That's a counterclockwise (Jiffy) auger.
-
I say in on a seminar given by Jeff Kelm and he had a titanium auger that ha passed around. Seemed awesome. He’s sponsored by Akara. If you have a chance google “Akara fishing” and check out their website. I think they import their stuff from Russia? Lots of different kinda baits/lures and things. The boots also seemed real deal

Pretty dang cool..
I've worked with titanium, it can be polished to look like chrome ..
What's the diameter?
<°)))>{
-
Pretty sure I have the lightest 8" auger bit, I can find replacement blades at gas stations..

-
U wanna medal or what.
-
So that is a 5" auger. How much did you have to pay for it from Russia including Shipping?
-
Looks pricey ill stick with my nills.
Was looking at maybe upgrading to a 8" K drill but might just go with another Nills.

I have a 6" K drill on an Octane/Clam Plate if you want to try it before you get the 8.

It's always interesting to see something different. From earlier threads on these titanium augers I know that you paid an arm and a leg but you were so committed to owning one there was no talking you out of it with just a features and benefits argument. They're cool and you do indeed have something unique. However, it reminds of one of those pens that writes in zero gravity or a wristwatch that's secure at a depth of 300 meters. Personally, I'm never going to be in those situations any more than needing to drill a 5" hole in six feet of ice. May your augers give you joy.
