4mm and 5mm is what I use. 6mm and 7mm for deeper water (30')

Usually 3-4 mm for me.  I have 5 mm jigs in the box too.

3-4mm for late ice crappie and bluegill, 4-5mm for the rest of the season or for perch. Haven't had any trouble with the slightly bigger jigs for perch like I do with crappie.

I'd go with an UL or noodle for your pole personally, unless you have a spring bobber you won't sense that small of jigs with a light action rod.

The 3-4 mm should do nicely for yellow and white perch, crappie and sunfish.
Don't be surprised if a bass, pickerel of trout (if these fish are present) don't take the offering as well!

4mm is a great middle-of-the-road size for all panfish. Sometimes they want smaller. Sometimes they want bigger. I usually start with a 4mm and go from there.

We were catching perch on 3/8 oz. Kastmasters last year.  Gets down there quick!
