Thats a no brainer... ::) Tungsten jigs make fantastic Christmas decor! ;D

I just walked down and talked to the guys at www.recycledfish.org and saw this... I love it! They are pretty much sold out already at the show, but they are taking online orders. They are running a cool online tournament too. Check out their website.

Are you aware of any manufacturer that has a short (16-20") fairly stiff rod?

I'm looking at trying a new panfish setup this year with a stiffer rod and a sensitive spring bobber.  The past few years I have been using the HT Polar Lites (PLC-21N) and have been pretty happy with their sensitivity without a spring bobber, but I also think I will get better results landing some fish with a short stiffer rod to set the hook better and a thinner more sensitive spring bobber to see those light bites.

Just dropped by to see what lindy had...

They have a bigger darter..

They have new ice line... Its hard to tell in the warm room, but I am gonna try it.

They also have new colors for their slick jigs and rattlin flyer sppons.

What are the permanent displays like? How about some pics of the biggest pimp shack you can find. I'm talkn hydros, slide outs, flat screens and the whole nine yards! I know they are impractical but it might just be the ticket for the family trip up north for those extended weekends and besides it's fun to dream.

Man I wish I was there.

yeah skipper and i both use a homemade rod about 12 inches with a marmish spring and it works grate the rod allows to set the hook and the spring shows sensitivity.

Other than homemade have you seen any manufacturers with anything like it?  Most of the short rods are all UL or L.

no thats why we went to making our own we found fishing for panfish if you have a good spring the rod action is meaningless, somewhere on here i think skipper posted a picture but not sure

Check out JR's spring bobber rod....medium light with an attached/built in spring bobber.  Really nice rod and about $20.  They have a booth at the show so if someone wants to check it out and give a report for you that would be cool.

Here is a link to some pics of those stubbies I build. As far as I know, there isn't much out there like them.

Marmish springs are the very very best out there in my oppinion.

Any fabricators at the show with an auger mount for the front of a snowmobile? I've seen plenty with ones for the back of a sled or ones for the atv. I would like to have one for the front of my 2000 Ski-Doo so I can keep an eye on it. I've seen Mr.Genz using one but I don't know if it's a custom job or what.
