We should start a pool betting on who goes in first. Pull a name out of the hat and that's your guy. Drawing a name evens things out if not everyone would pick the husky attendees and leave out the bean poles.

Menu options:

I could stew up a bunch of beer brats the morning of and grill them up on charcoal like last year. Pretty tasty and well received as I recall. I also now have a complete shore lunch

outfit and those who have fished any of the Ontario lodges will recall how well that eats. Consists of a 10# tank and burner since there's no campfires on the ice. Along with it

comes a 20" Paul Bunyon style steel skillet. Thing's almost comical. Peanut oil for high temps. I make a nice beer batter coating for fish and chips style fillets and Nate has a great

recipe for a spicy egg wash and panko coating. What I don't have is enough fillets on hand to feed the multitude. These frigid temps are keeping me out of South Park to pick off a

few Northerns for a fry-up. If I can correct that I will. Comments?

I don't mind cooking. I like to cook, but I figured anybody can use the equipment if they've got their own ideas how fish should taste. As long as I get a nibble. Got the little charcoal brat grill available also.

All hygienic and rubber gloved the whole way. Sanitized for your protection, as they say. Hope you don't imagine that I would enjoy a couple of hours on the ice with beer batter fingers and only cold pond water to wash up with.

The Stinkyfingers part refers to an earlier period in my catfish life when I'd mix up these vile bait concoctions that could knock a raccoon off its feet. Have since come to appreciate cut bait so I'm more or less fit to join the human race.

In addition to the fish fry operation, I've got that little charcoal grill from last year. Anybody want to try grilling some brats or weenies on the ice? I can add it on to the wagon, no problemo.

Good enough for me, Stinky! It's all "seasoning" anyway. I'm looking forward to the fish fry!

What if the fillets are from out of state? Too tainted? Just lie?
