After using a Clam "grey suit" for ten years, I got another Clam suit for this year. Hope I like it as much as the old one, the shell material and pockets are different so the jury is out.

Fixing old gear is like helping an old friend. Although I do like new toys as much as the next guy.  ;D

Good to hear you got out. The warm weather/rain is a bummer, we're due for a switch to a cold pattern in a couple of weeks.

Halfhooked,
I've had that old Vexilar at least 25 years.  Had a Sitex before that and it was the same rig.  I remember the first time you saw me using that Vex on Canob pond.  (20 years ago)
I've taken it apart every few years to clean the slip ring/brushes and replaced the battery.  Still plugging along.  The suppressor cable works well to about 20'.  Ponds here in upstate NY can be shallow like RI, or they can be very deep like Lake George (120') or Champlain.  "I'd still rather fish without hooks than without my sonar" FM

.....and no time.
