ice claws (picks)
« on: Nov 06, 2019, 04:38 PM »
I'm looking to get a pair for my son. Anyone know a vendor?  The two more common brands are Lundhag and Skyllermarks.  The few places I'm finding online are not showing any stock.

Thanks!

Any particular reason that you feel the need for Swedish safety picks over those offered by HT, Eagle Claw, Frabill, and Celsius? Ice is ice, and any of them may help to save your bacon. Please don't tell me that we're now faced with safety pick snobbery.
We're born, we live for a while, and then we die.  Sounds like a good reason to go ice fishing.

My 11 yo wants my set and I'm such a prick, I said no way.  He likes the whistle and the fact they stay around your neck if used, as do I.  Maybe a bit of snobbery too, I do like nice things.   :-\

Thanks for the link! I found a place in oconomowoc wi that didn't explicitly state they were out of stock and placed an order with them.  Fingys crossed.

I'm certainly a snob given a choice between either elegant Swedish/ Finnish picks and Chinese drek from HT. I'll take the good stuff also.
