Hit Wethersfield Cove on Saturday. I've been using big bait all season and a lot of yellow perch without much action. Decided to break down and get some shiners to try for numbers and variety. Ended up with my biggest of the season. My group also got a 7lb cat and a few pan fish on the jigging rods. Great day with lots of people on the ice. 9 inches where we were.

Nice one. Probably a good way to close out the year on the cove. Saw you land it from afar. Looks better in the picture. I was out fishing in the background of your picture. Ended up with a nice cat also.
Great day on the ice.

Nice job right there, congrats. Big bait typically = big fish, but not always. Same goes for matching the hatch.
