Cedar Falls / Waterloo
« on: Feb 03, 2017, 07:59 PM »
Just a quick heads up for you guys.  I was on big woods today.  I drilled a lot of holes and found a lot of good ice, however, I went up into the northwest bay and found a lot of 3 to 4 inch areas.  That normally would work well, but it wasn't the best ice in the world to top it off.    It was popping a lot when I was out there and should have been building.  I just figured I'd throw it out there to all of you for a heads up.  Stay safe and take a spud bar if you arent sure.

Not sure. If I end up trying back there I'll probably try getting in from the trail farther to the south than the parking lot, or use a spud bar
