Yeah 22 bullets are chiep enough that I just launch one and see where it goes and then follow with another. One trick I do is when your crosshairs are zeroed at around 50 yards, if your scope is set on 9X the lower post usually hits at around 100 yds. Have you found a source of reasonable priced bullets that shoot good in the 10-22? Th stuff you get at Wall Mart is pretty poor. I shot with some target shooters once and they said to use 40 gr bullets and they recommended Wolf brand, but I haven't been able to find that brand.

OK........all in fun, that's cool! That said I have 2 870's a 12 and a twenty for the wife and kid's. I was just hoping your not trying to blast much waterfowl with a 410. I know first hand they can be effective, but you got to be quite selective of your shots. A Remington 870.......is the standard all other pumps, try to live up to!

I said UPLAND son ;D In retrospect, I should have bought the 20ga with choke tubes, so I could nail the occassional mallard, but the 410 is perfect for ruffies. Only problem I have with it is the modified choke, I'm used to a full, and I've missed a lot of birds with the bigger modified. Probably a dozen this year that I know I would have taken with my old single shot full choke.

everybody likes to hunt chis (chiselers, ground squirrels, etc) with precision small-caliber, scoped guns.  but let me tell you what, try bringing a shotgun along.  they'll climb around in the big sage brush trying to conceal themselves while attempting to get a look at the threat, and shotguns have proven to be the most effective diffuse-area pepperer.  all you have to do is see movement, or a bit of fur!!!  all the rocks that they kick up can be deadly shrapnel too.  nefarious chiseler-cong.

here's my bro with my ak - very fun, but dirty and inaccurate.  doesn't really compare to my 30-06 in precision

here's my cousin shooting my ak, then my glock .40 - definitely the sweetest pistola on the market, in my opinion

with some confirmed killed chiseler-cong.  they were especially nefarious in this sector, and for the most part evaded our sweeps.  these two were caught attempting to conduct a defensive retreat into a reinforced bunker complex after actively operating in the vicinity.

Welllll, that was a huge tactical error on their part!  :woot: Looks like the site is coming to life again, so I'll just drop this into the ice-hole and see what happens. I've always been a compound bow guy although I've used a X-bow now and then. But at a local Riverton nationally well-known houshold goods/grocery store/garden center/sporting goods, I recently chanced across a Horton 150, slammed down $250 clams and had the lil tack driver together in about an hour. First bolt went right through the blue dot and kept right on going. Oooh, man, I love hunting season, but ya know why? Cause just around the corner, the water on the lakes gets really hard. Oh man, I'm gettin' worked up here. Well, congrats on the rats, guys, laters,  ;D

here's my .243 beretta and .30-06 browning a-bolt side by side.  the .243 was given to me by one of my dad's good friends when i was just a little kid.  it's a high-dollar, collector-quality rifle - one of my most prized possessions:
