I just got some tungsten Expedition jigs from the Bargain Cave at Cabelas. I also was able to get some Clam plastics and Northland Impulse plastics . I hope they don't have like an expiration date or go bad do they ?

Built these to get my FF's of the ice & water. After last winter's derby at Viva Naughton, I was thinking of building small folding pallet's for our flip over's to get out of the water and slush. Still haven't talked myself in getting a snowmobile for the derby there. Haven't done the derby at Pinedale either, but still that is a lot of money to get a snowmobile for 2 weekends. Lol

I'm waiting on my order from a custom rod builder. Still on the hunt for the perfect 36" and 42" blank to target multispecies. We just had our 1st addition to the family a few days ago, so lotsa time between now and 1st ice to tinker with custom lure building.(in between bottle feeding of course)

Having my auger tuned up this week. On my way back from Michigan a few weeks ago I stopped at Bass Pro and bought an ice rod. Later on I stopped at a Cabelas and bought on open face spinning reel and some magna thin mono in the bargain cave. I got a good deal over the summer on a St. Croix ice rod that was on clearance. I had a chance to test out my Marcum LX 5 last week on Flaming Gorge on a friend's boat. He was using his mounted LCD for jigging and I was using my flasher off of the front of the boat and it worked good. I always wondered how it would work in open water without being mounted and it passed the test! I'm glad I had a chance to test it because near the end of the ice fishing season last year I had some problems with the flasher. Marcum sent me a new transducer and I put a new battery in it and it ran great. So it should be set to go as soon as we get some safe ice.

What do you mean today. I have been going since the ice left. But today I received my new guide gear series ice suit. I ordered a Plano gun case to get rid of my clam vault. And the vex and hummingbird are charging. Tomorrow going to mix up some gas top off both augers and fire them up.

I went through all of my gear this past weekend. Took inventory of what I needed/wanted and got it all ordered. Put the camera and the humminbird on the charger as well. Fired up the jiffy and she is running like a champ. Just got two new poles for lakers, a new ifishpro tip up, and a bunch of new ripin raps, vmc spoons and other misc items in the mail. Now it just needs to stay cold!

I just got my Marcum vs485c camera in today(awesome) a new pole with an inline reel and have a clam legend thermal xl on the way. All I need now is a heater! I'm getting excited!!!

Got a new Frabil reel from Scheel's and spooled it up yesterday and today I took my extension off my Jiffy and it started on the fifth pull. Always tinkering with something.

Charging up the Showdown battery..fired up the auger. Pulled all the stuff I needed from my Summer tackle box and put into the winter one. Cleaned up some lures, and made the mistake of opening one of my bait pucks and finding last years waxies...
