Where is the guide out of. I wish we had walleye close to the size of those fish here in Pa.... actually we do but i dont think we will get out to go for them on lake erie this year....

Actually, the Monday before Christmas an acquaintance had a nice burbot that would probably win the category...I just want Lonewolf to update the leader board so I can print it out as a memento...I don't think it'll stand up either, but the 31 might be good enough to place...time will tell.

I still have a pretty big smile on my face.

What was the weight on the bigger 2? Did you get them all today? Wow that's a day of Walleye fishin!! I guess I can say goodbye to the eye catagory so on to the pike.... Tipup will make us all look like fools in the pike arena too probably....... Good luck everybody.

We didn't have a scale, so don't really know. Yes, those fish were caught today - as a matter of fact, those 4 fish were all the fish I caught today.

This is my second season on the ice...I can't chalk this up to experience or skill...Ryan brought me to the spot and it was lucky I guess that I eventually picked the right colour of jig that they seemed to want today.

If VC gets his 400mm lens out he may be able to make one of his fish look like a contender

Seriously, I'm sure he'll have one to post before the year is out. Hopefully we'll get the group out this weekend but its been coooold. It was -26C (-15F) when I was out this Saturday and we may be getting even colder later this week.

Scuba, I don't believe that I have skunked a guide yet - you caught trout at Reynolds...memory is foggy on our last crappie trip, but the fishing was slow that day. Ryan didn't get skunked either...his fish provided the entertainment.

GMoe...I'd like to see some burbot action as well...just gotta find time and location. Seriously though, I'd be content getting the clan into a fun day of 8 perch so long as we are having fun.

I past up a chance this week for the rainbows, for a mess of crappie. It came down to do what you know over, trying some new place. I guess I'm adventure to new places maybe next week.

Don't you worry though I'm getting out there still its just that the cold weather ain't that great for getting the group out on the ice. Everybody has to stay shut up in tents and ya just loose that social aspect and can't move around as much either.

All going well I'll be able to improve on the 18"er come Monday

Swampthing - it may not win biggest fish, but that walleye looks tasty - nice eater size and it is always a bonus to catch a species other than your target. Don't forget there are random draws too, so it may well win you something.

I would like to give a hand to Duckdoctorslissy. (my g/f's middle daughter) She fished with me a lot last winter and it was also her first year on the ice, or fishing for that matter. I helped her out a bit last year and she missed some fish. But this rainbow that she entered was her first fish start to finish!
