Lindy Micro Slick Jigs
« on: Jan 29, 2012, 08:10 PM »
Tried the new Lindy Micro Slick Jigs yesterday and have to say I like them, bluegills did too  ;D

They're a heavier jig so fish fast, and I found the larger profile deterred the smaller ankle biter gills.  They "kick" nicely with very little rod movement and you can vary that action by where you place your knot.  I had them paired up with my new 28" UL St. Croix Premier rod and Okuma Sierra fly reel- first time I've tried the straightlining setup and I like it alot as well.  Can't wait to get some more time in with this combo and the Slick Jigs as well.  I found some in red glow at Bass Pro, just need to find some crappies to put them to the test.

I have been using them on perch. They work OK but there always seems to be something that works better.
The do have quite a kicking action to them.  I usually put on a perch eye or a couple maggots. Maybe a different bait would work better.
