Big sand wash 1/13/17
« on: Jan 15, 2017, 09:01 PM »
I got to BSW Friday at noon. Pulled down the sportsman access on the east side and there was 5 or 6 DWR trucks and cars so i thought i must have found the honey hole!  ;) First time ever being there i fished for about 3.5 hours in 30ish feet of water and it was great for lots of dink perch and a few almost decent keepers. Ice was 7"-8" with about 10"-12" of snow and of course slush in there also. Edges where OK in some places and rotten in others.  Road in Friday was OK at best not a lot of parking at the bottom and no way you'd want to take a trailer down the road no reason either there is no place to get a machine through the gate. Most probably already know most of this but like i said it was my first time.
I hope i'm half as good as my Dogs think i am ;-)

Well at least this wasn't a skunk trip, do you know if this place gets fished much on the hard deck? Don't see many reports from here if at all

Yeah i,m not sure. It was fun, you probably could weed through the dinks and get a batch of tacos.
I hope i'm half as good as my Dogs think i am ;-)
