Candlewood Boat Launch- forgot spud!

Hey guys, my buddy fished Saturday and entered Candlewood via the boat ramp north end of the lake. He put his spud down and mistakenly forgot it. If anyone may have picked it please let me know. It’s Home made and has been around for awhile. The return would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

The one I use was my Great Grandfathers.  My grandmother use to tell me stories getting ice with it from the ct river 100+ yrs ago.  Since I was a kid it had black cloth tape wrapped around the entire handle.  Well the tape finally rotted enough where I couldn't take it any more....After an hour of unwrapping I find the thing has a beautiful hand whittled oak handle.  It's definitely unique and I would hate to lose it.  I should hang it on the wall.  I'll keep my eyes and ears open.

Gotta put your name on stuff like that.... Sticker with your name and number and then wrap it well with clear packaging tape.

I use copper trap tags, you can have 50 made and shipped to you for under $15. Work great on the tipups.

You just don't take it  to start with if it isn't your's. Maybe pick it up and lean it against the boat launch sign. A little common sense goes a long way!
