First Quick trip of the season
« on: Dec 14, 2017, 03:23 PM »
Made it out on a small private pond in NE Ct for an hour at lunch. Had 3.5 inches of solid black ice. Should be up around 5.5 or 6 inches by Saturday.

Nice! I wish in the SW part of the state we had the same progress. I have to check some of the smaller ponds, maybe I'll get lucky. Anything alittle bigger was still open yesterday morning.

I would shoot for small and protected. This pond I'm on always freezes really early.
