Don't give up yet, Still got February and two weeks in March. I remember getting on before Christmas one year and then the melt down till March. Crazy weather,I'm starting to believe in global warming. lol

I don’t think it looks too bad yet. It looks like high temps during the day but plenty of below freezing nights over the next month. As long as we hold some ice this week I think we will be back out there some more this season. It will all depend on the rain and how much of it. 12 of the next 15 days go below freezing at night and some down into the teens once we get into February with another cold snap.

What my weathers currently looking like.   Windy as all get out and it seems like it dumped a pile of rain last night.   Hope the seasons not done but I don’t have too much faith.

Didn’t make it out today due to the pond drain pipe being clogged and having to go for a swim to get it unclogged before it all washes away.  I’m going to try and fish the maples tomorrow morning hoping someone will be there to venture on the ice with.

I was at McDaniels tonight. Shore didn’t look too bad. After the first 6 feet it was fed solid. Should stiffen up tonight and be even better tomorrow.

Got out this AM  ice was good everywhere I was with no issues.  Spot I went on had some drainage coming in and the shore ice was still decent at that access area.  Bite was ok.  Nothing to write home about.  Managed a half dozen keeper crappy smallest being 10” and some gills.  Managed to catch a gazillion dink gills, dink crappy, and missed a few big blips on the vex.  Thinking of heading to McDaniels tomorrow AM.

Went out last evening into the night on the edge of the main basin. Ice was solid and singing at dusk. Kind of creepy but I still don't have have my ice legs. Fish were actively feeding until about 9. Moon ought to provide some good night bite next week or so(especially tonight being clear)...if anyone is fishing alone and needs some evening company but skiddish like myself on ice just message me and we can figure out a game plan.
