Any ice reports on Stiles pond. Looking to get out somewhere before surgery holds me up for a while this winter

I just stopped to check Stiles pond on Saturday morning. Still had a few pockets of open water in the middle. That was pre snow.
williev18 is probably right though. I would think by this weekend it should be walkable with a spud

I was at Stiles at 1:45 PM today Monday 12/11/17. There was  1-2 acres of open water in the center. With the insulating snow coming it will be treacherous for a while , beware!

checked it this morning, most of the new snow is flooded with water pushing up. Hopefully the cold temps will lock things up, and make for decent traveling. I will check again friday.

I went by yesterday and there was still water leaching through the cracks.I didn't get out of the truck to check any further, it may not be as sketchy as it looked ??

stopped and drilled a few holes today, there is about 5" of hard ice 25yards off shore. A few wet spots out deep, would still want to spud it if gonna head across but its fishable. Now if i just had time to fish
