Another Glide Lite thread
« on: Nov 20, 2017, 03:43 PM »
I was asked on another thread to post some pictures of my Glide Lite sled modifications. Rather than changing the topic on that thread, I decided to post some pictures here. Enjoy!

Loaded for bear with auger, flasher and tackle.

Auger secured to sled with a buckle I riveted on.

Tackle, plastics and other gear stored on the back of the seat.

Flasher is stored under the seat in a bucket with a screw top lid.

Accessories added via RAM mount products from my boat.

Auger is ready to make Swiss Cheese of the ice.

Custom rod holders from 3/4" PEX tubing.

Hyfax runners and long bungee rope.

Thank you! The auger is able to go 17" and I do have a 28" extension if needed.

The mixer is still a virgin. Bought it for my 8" auger, but might use it on the smaller one as well. I liked how well it fit on the seat while traveling. The double handle locked it in good.

Worked good last week!

Mainly use the Glide Lite when traveling to the lake in a car, or while using hub shelters.

Prospector,
Someone mentioned to add an extension to your browser called "Photobucket Hotlink Fix".  I did that and it sure improved my ability to see Photobucket pics.  Give it a try!  I  went back thru that Glide Lite threads and many photos showed up.

Thanks. I will definitely check that out. Any idea if it will work for Apple products?

What is nice about it, when  I break it down, it will fit into a 5 gallon bucket with a regular drill. I use to store it where my LX seven is now. I got lucky on that deal. The kid at Cabela’s gave me a good price. I think I paid $300  and got the auger  plus Helix  five unit that was  ready to go on a pontoon boat with a soft case and everything. Couldn’t pass up the deal even though both items were the last thing I needed. LOL

Thank you very much! She will be ready for longer trips in the car. The rod holders worked great the other day for deadstick Rods. Should work great at the View!
