Lake Trout (bigger one down lower)Date stamps

Walk for 30 minutes to spot.  Drill hole.  Clean out hole and get line down.  Thought I was caught on bottom but this is what it was.
13.4 lbs and 33.5 inches long.  Walk out and drive home.

bigger one today just under 37 inches long and 17 lbs.  Standing on top of 5 gallon bucket to get all of the fish in the picture.  LIG

I think this online derby is kinda cool.  I thank all the people who are doing the work to keep it running.
Back out tomorrow to fish for big brother.  One big fish and I have to change the line on my rig due to twists and flat spots.  8lb test line bringing in a 17 lb fish through the ice.  Betterhalf caught a 8.25lb fish on Tuesday.
Friday heading out for a lake with big rainbow.  8 lb rb caught in it this summer.  Want to get out before the rain starts.  LIG

Ian the biggest rainbow I have caught to date is 2.25 lbs.  The betterhalf has a 4 lb bow on record.  I have never caught a burbot, yet..
My almost 37 inch laker hasn't been moved up on the leader board.  I hope it gets there before someone catches a 40 incher.
