I just moved up to Prince George and am looking for some decent lakes to go out ice fishing.  Something close.  Any suggestions or tips???????

Thanks

Lots of great lakes around here. Some short and some a little further away. Which direction are you from town or are you downtown? Check at Northern Trout Fitters, they usually know the OK spots. What species are you after? Or do you just want a lake to catch some fish with the kids? Or are you after the Big Lunker? ;D
Welcome aboard.
Hope you signed up for the tourney. (40 mins left).

It doesn't really matter to me what direction.  Maybe something close to take the kids out to (perch, pike, etc).  Would like to try for some rainbows and burbs.

I think you will have to go back to Saskatchewan to find some pike or perch ;) ;D
Around town for burbot and rainbows and try West lake. Lots of peamouth to keep kids entertained. Check out Northern Troutfitters they have some good info. Have to travel long ways for pike or perch.

Hey Lunker welcome; You could check out the Ministry of forests District office on Ospika...they might have a map or two left sitting there...

Cheers TBone;)

I was just at Crappy Tire and their selection was not too bad. Probably best in town ;D
