First Ice Fish Outting of the Year Fall 2018
« on: Nov 11, 2018, 01:20 PM »
A fun adventure in the Colorado Rocky Mountains. Our adventure today takes us up to Fall River Reservoir, above Idaho Springs. A successful first ice fishing trip of the year. 6 plus inches of ice. Enjoy!

It was a hike from hell to get there but man is it worth it when you finally make the whole and hook into your first fish. Looking forward to a fun winter season, actually having a winter up in the rockies so far.

Thanks Steve! The lake is at about 10,843 feet.  So nearly 11k, the high's averaged below 25 with lows in single digits all week, so I had a feeling it was going to be ready for ice fishing.
