I was curious if anyone has heard of any pike being caught out of Cheney Lake this winter? I spent a few hours out there today attempting to spear a few but had no luck. Also had tipups out; no flags. This was my third try this winter out there and have not seen a pike which is really odd as I probably speared close to 2 dozen of them by this time last year. I had heard rumors of the lake being poisoned, but ADF&G told me that to their knowledge it had not (or at least they did not do it). I seen schools of sticklebacks so I doubt if that rumor is true.
