Title: Carpenter Lake report
Post by: icy mike on Dec 31, 2004, 12:39 AM
Lots of overflow on the ice, but a good foot of solid ice underneath.  The rainbows were suspended just under the ice in about 8 FOW.  Drop a jig with eggs or shimp and within 5 seconds it was gone--- Fish on!  No big sizes but a lot of fun.  The public parking area is not plowed and the road is only one lane.  There are some places to park along the road where the plows pushed the extra snow.

I was on Big Lake first.  Tried Burnt Point and just of North Big Lake Park.  Nothing... nada.. zip.  Gonna try again tomorrow out on Finger and Memory.
