With the 9ah battery this setup rocks. No bending over to drill in the wheelhouse unles it gets super deep

 those clam plates are silly. Put a lite-flite on there and let it rip.

I also had the clam plate…….used it one time out on the ice and took it back and got a lite flite 8”. Also added a 8 year old Ion. It works great as well.
What does everyone else use? What don’t you like?

i have a pistol grip as well and it works great as well. but my go to is a 7" sm lazer hand auger under a clam plate. clam plate allows drill to sit up off the ice as well when its wet out.

This is a gen2 clam plate. It's way better with it then without. I just dedicated a 1200in# drill to it. Never take it off.

Oh I was just flipping ya some crap ;D
Those big Milwaukee batteries are awesome. I put a 12ah on a 2904 drill with an 8” lite flite and probably drilled 60-70 holes today through 19-20” of ice and didn’t kill it. Was down to one bar though.
