Fish Measurement for slot size in Manitoba

Can anyone tell me the correct way to measure a fish in Manitoba for slot sizes. Is it

1) Tape on the ground tail flared?
2) Tape on the ground tail pinched
3) Flexible tape on the body of the fish tail flared?
4) Flexible tape on the fish tail pinched?

Good question - Sask & Manitoba are different.

MB: total length is measured from the most anterior part of the head (tip) to the most posterior part of the tail (tip) laid flat (not pinched).

So the tape under the fish or a tailors tape laid on top of the fish?

Invest in a bump board. The judge is only 40 bucks, and used in tourneys all over North America. The problem with tapes is they are never accurate. I got checked one day, had my one over. One of the others was under by 1/8”. He used a tape, said your over. Pulled out the judge, checked said nope. He thanked me and said he was ordering one. Bump board is easier on fish, if your into the master angler program it’s easy for the picture requirement, and there’s no guessing with the judge.
