White Perch Through The Ice

Does anyone target white perch through the ice?  I've caught plenty of yellow perch, but never a white.

I get on a huge concentrations of white perch on Maranacook Lake.  I've done best in basin areas that max out at 35-40 feet.  I start right off bottom, but whites will often suspend 10 feet or so off bottom.  A fishfinder is an asset.  They become very active an hour or so before dark.  More than once, my screen lit up from the bottom all the way up to within 10 feet of the base of the ice.  30 feet of perch is a lot of fish, and a non-stop jig bite.

white perch through the ice.. nice and cold - clean, white meat. healthy fish with lots of oxygen. Mild flavored fillets, pan fried with onions and topped with lemon!! Man, I can't wait!!

And don't even get me started on cusk!!!  C'mon, ICE!!!
