Gator Hunting

With all the attention this board gave gators last year I may have to give them a try this winter.

Tell me, how do you rig for them.  Steel leader?  Size hook? big bait? smaller bait?  What depth to do you fish?

i use 30 # dacron, with a steel, preferably tyger 15# knottable stainless steel leader.i use a 45# spro barrel swivel with a razor sharp treble, excalibur t3 or gamakatsu  isnt bad either, did i mention sharp?size 1/0 or 2/0 and dont forget sharp. bait doesnt matter. big shiners, suckers smelts, kittens, puppies ,chickens goats...lol just kitting peta  ::)  dead or alive they eat it all. middle of the water column in 6-12 fow for early action...good luck !
