flasher first get a used fl-8se 125.00 to 225.00 and I just picked up a underwater camera at Menard's for 75.00 before a 25.00 mail in rebate so if you shop around for 300.00 you could get both

i have a marcum flasher and i would be lost without it . its amazing to lower a very small jig down a hole and as it gets close to the bottom you can actually see the fish rise off the bottom to check out your bait . and you can check depths without drilling a hole to find drop offs ect ect id go with a flasher over the camera any time .

Both if you can afford it, that's what I've got.  If you need to add 1 at a time go with a flasher first.  Make sure it has a zoom, it's worth the money.

I have both & like others have to say, Flasher 1st no question, it's a no brainer.

Flasher= essential tool
Camera= cool extra toy to have on the ice

I have an older flasher, and a camera.  They go hand in hand for me.  I made a custom box that both are mounted in.  I don't go out without them both.

I had the same question when I first started Ice Fishing. The guy that helped me get started said the flasher would be a wiser choice because unless your either fishing shallow or clear water the camera would be almost useless. Ended up getting a 2 season old LX-5 from a gentleman that upgraded to the 2500 watt LX-5 for $250. Best advice I could get for a guy just starting out. I feel no need for a camera any more. My LX-5 is a great Ice Fishing tool.
