Ice is here!

Hi all,

Our bay finally iced over yesterday, it’s raining today but night temps by the end of the week will be -17C, fingers crossed we don’t get too much snow. Hoping to be on the ice 1st week of December.

Weather reports are useless pretty much nowadays, I just hope the -18C and -17C for ast Tuesday and Wednesday night are accurate, should lock up most of the open water.

I was on the ice north of Thunder Bay, couple small bush lakes. 3.5" of good ice most places, some open water spots yet also. Got small perch and had some bigger marks come in but no bites.

That’s AWESOME! I’m gonna check out a few ponds tomorrow, should be clear black ice on most. Good job avoiding the 🦨 !
