1st Depot today

Out to 1st depot lake north of Kingston today.  Chasing the pike. Got there at first light, no fish until about 8:30.  Chris was the only one who had sucess he found the honey hole I guess.  He got about 5,  nice size too.  I got a chance to try out my new pop up shanty
Rapala Sherpa2.  Excellent, I am happy. No one else but us on the lake, a few arrived as we were leaving about 1pm.
As for the ice conditions:  4/5 inches, 1 foot of snow on top and 1 inch of slush.
 Next place is Rock lake I guess,  Putting in time until the big waters are  ready.

going there in a few min trying to get my bro up and movin

went out to first today ... got there around noonish..... good ice anywhere from 6 to 8 some spots 10 at least .......... stayed till dark... all i got was one stinkin rock bass.... loads of hits for about an hour around 3:30pm but nothing stickin to anything... using minnows on all kinds of jigs and spoons but notta.....  Awsome feeling to be out on the water tho cant wait till next time

Anyone been out to 1st 2nd or 3rd depot to see how the ice is as of latley? i know alot of ice is thin right now but was hoping one of the lakes would have somewhat decent amout of ice on them to fish?! any info would help. thanks!

from what i here from the boys who live out that way the ice did take a good hit but they say second had 4 to 5 in as of wednsday, first had about the same big black hole near the boatlaunch on first but far enough you can still get on

as for the rest not too sure............. i do know they are fishing on bass lake (dont know if that is the exact name) near fourth has 5 in on it

There was 4" to 8" inches of ice on 2nd depot this evening.  Hopefully the ice beefs up during this week's cold weather.
