We fished until 12. Today. Not one pike hit. Caught 10 perch and kept one. Yesterday was much better. Kept 25 perch yesterday.

usually use bass minnows on tip ups and catch a lot of  pickerel and big perch. sometimes got little perch messing with ya. and heard ice was around 5 1/2 and there was a wheeler out there saturday. not sure exactly where but idk if i would have been on one. water was murky with all the wind we had so bite was not good. maybe if water clears up fishing should be better. usually a pressure crack off canoga. and perch eyes work well when they are biting because you can catch a bunch without having to put bait on. when the school is there you want to keep them there.

its a decent spot, I have had better luck just south of there. its by the park right next to beacon bay, I usually park there and head south about a half mile or so

yes water is clear now where I was at the north end. I was also across from Louise's  point fishing the channel and it was clear.

Any easy access near Union Springs/Cayuga? My father just got his fishing license for the first time in 20 years (retirement must be getting boring) and he won't travel very far. PM's welcome with any helpful info!

you could try by Harris park. its right next to  silver bridge and beacon bay, it is usually a good spot
