Haven't been to Sodus in a couple years.  Thinking about next weekend.  How's the perch bite?  How much snow on the ice?  Thanks for any info you can provide

Don't feel bad I-bay sucks too. Couldn't catch a good one to save my butt. I'm hoping it picks up with the amount of time i got into the bay. Marking lots but few takers, was the same way on sodus when i fished in the rain there a couple 3-4 weekends ago. Allmost need a B.A. in meteorology to figure them out. Its discouraging sometimes.

We tried walking from Connelly's to south end of Newark Island today, but never made it.  Walking in the crunchy snow was a little tough, and we got as far as the east side of Eagle Island and settled there in about 20 FOW.  Did poorly, only caught 9 between two of us, only two keepers (though we lost a monster).

Where/what is "the loop"?

Figured we would at least bring home ten perch today. Zero. No idea whats going on.  We moved around alot too....8 ft all the way to 30. Dinks and more dinks. Jigging deadstick minnows wax worms spikes you name it. Might need to find a guide for sodus lol

Has anyone put down a camera to see if they are there and biting or whether they simply aren't in the bay? I know last year our Ice Pro-Am teams could see them down there but they didn't want anything they through down at them... ::)

I fished out in 38 fow from 1pm to 330pm yesterday. Aparty of five. We took the rain as a sign to please leave. Big, small, high, low, alive, dead, whole, head, spikes, rosies, fatheads, buckeyes, naked lure. I had fish converging everywhere on the vexilar. We could'nt buy a bite. I believe sodus is affected more drastically by the barometer than anywhere else I fish. They are in there. BOY are they in there. When they get hungry (low pressure)  it is a triple blast. Good luck to all.  ;)

Believe it or not its also tidal to. Not by much but that also plays a role in the bite as well. Being part of the great lakes the lake level fluctuating has a tendency to turn a bite on and off.

I've looked at maps of all the roads around the bay, and I do not see any Main Street anywhere on the bay.  ???
