Jawjacking Crappie?

Hey guys, I have a Crappie question. I'm on the Crappies and usually run one or two jig poles in my shack and a tip up outside. They like to set off my tip up but drop the bait after only a couple inches of line was pulled. I have a Jaw Jacker that I use successfully for northern and bass, but am unsure about how to set it up for Crappie. I think if I can get them to hit that instead of a tip up I would be more successful. So anyone Crappie fish with a Jaw Jacker? Whats your set up? Rod type? Jig type?
