Sad loss. Always sucks to see someone so young go...

Gotta ask, what was he and a bunch of underage kids doing out by the river/out in a canoe at 2am?

The fishing was good; it was the catching that was bad.

Exactly what a bunch of underage kids do anywhere at 2 in the morning.

Hey, we were all once young and stupid, some of us are now old and stupid. Not trying to say thatthis wasnt stupidity in action, but still a tragedy the day before easter. He was a good kid, holds a steady job for years, Trying to make a life in the Berks. One slip and it's all gone. I honestly don't know all the details But I feel for his friends and family.

Sorry for your loss, it's never good to see the young pass. R.I.P.

Sorry for your loss.  There but for the grace of God, go I.

On MyFishFinder I saw a photo of a young man holding his catch.  In the post script of my reply I suggested that the EPO could ticket him for sitting on his PFD.  I believe that if we live to see our children then we must be willing to place our wisdom in the face of our youth.

Very sorry to hear about this tragedy! Prayers to his family and friends!  What a crappy way to spend Easter!  My heart goes out to all that knew this young man!  Can we be done with March now! !!!!!! Horrible month for me and many others. I think we need to all get together for a big gathering to celebrate the lives of our fallen friends & family this year! Just a thought.

A Terrible Tragedy! May him and his family find strength during these extremely sad and difficult times!

To the 60 public safety officials who risked thier own lives to try and save one... Thank you and may their always be a guiding angel always at your side!

"When I was a boy and I would see scary things in the news, my mother would say to me, 'Look for the helpers. You will always find people who are helping.' To this day, especially in times of 'disaster,' I remember my mother's words, and I am always comforted by realizing that there are still so many helpers — so many caring people in this world." — Mr. Rogers

This is a sad story , Condolences to the family and friends. We were all that age once ,you are fearless and think for the moment. I look back and am amazed I made it through those years. It is a fine line everyday for all of us, can be taken away in an instant no matter what you are doing. No one should have their child pass on before them,

It just goes to show that even the smallest momentary lapse in judgement can have dire repercussions.
